BUT IT WON'T FREAKING IMPORT ONTO MY LAPTOP. Is it the computer? Because sometimes when I put in the CD, it doesn't even register as anything in the drive. Or just my itunes? I mean, I've had it happen occasionally with a few of my CDs but never to this extent. I mean, it literally freezes up and in one case, cause my pc to just shut down with only a blue screen as a warning about glitches. WTF is going on?

Maybe when I wake up tomorrow, things will get better...

All I wanted was 2 songs but in support of DC, I paid for the whole deal! *waves hands around wildly*  Fuck, I'm frustrated. I've wasted most of this freaking evening working on this prob. Instead of doing my first-day-of-class reading. GRRRRRR.

I'll go stick in a DVD to see if it's just the drive.

I was doing just fine not writing original fiction. Then cobecat  just had to take my slash-writing cherry (seriously, I was a devoted het writer 4 years ago!). So blame her for this awfulness.

This is in the same verse as Mel and Ben's story. It involves Munin, though sadly, he does not make a physical appearance - mostly because I got extremely distracted while writing. Lots of rambling.

ETA: WTF?! It took me an hour to post this. LJ wouldn't let me edit. Any changes I made automatically reverted to it's original form after I clicked Save.

It's been a 4 year long dry spell for me. I haven't written anything outside of school papers since I was 15. So I apologize if this drabble utterly horrifies your inner sensibilities >.>

When people say "Z did something X times in as many minutes" what exactly does that mean? I get that it emphasizes how much an action was repeated. But the "in as many minutes" part always confuses me. Is this supposed to be equivalent to "Z did this X times in X minutes?"

Paper done. Did not write as much  as originally planned. Marvell is a complicated son of a bitch. I'm sick of research. Will not write the extra section. 13 full pages will have to do it.

Is it a Freudian slip that every time I tried to type the word "depth" in my paper today, I ended up with "death"?

ETA: So yes, about 3 hours after I posted, I stumbled upon new information. About "The Glitch." Whether or not the suspicious focus on GLBT books was purposeful, I'm still annoyed that some dimwit decided to test out such a faulty system (if it was, indeed, a Glitch). The fact that educational GLBT books were de-ranked while books teaching parents how to prevent homosexuality remained up still reeks of something to me.

- Instead of choosing the cop out option (in which I recycle 3 previously written papers on the same poem), I've decided to research an entirely new piece
- This is, in fact, a poem the prof warned me about 2 months ago when I was going to do a presentation on it. He suggested I do something else. I did.
- I didn't realize just how bad of an idea it was until right now. After I've spent 1 1/2 hours searching for articles and literary criticisms on this poem.
- Woe unto me, only 2 successes. There was a 3rd. Could not access. It was the only article I ACTUALLY wanted.

While not exactly on par with Season 1, the first episode of Fugitives made me hopeful again. Is it because Claire's stopped whining (mostly) and started doing? Or that Mohinder's not being an idiot? Or even that Peter's not quite as stupidly naive as he used to be? Probably. But mostly, it's because Sylar's back and looking good :)
